Poem is by Gustave Kahn on absinthe. I did this drawing for CHOW #158. Some folks requested a tutorial so I thought I'd upload a progress shot of this image in my Scraps Section. Its far from a tut but I think it is informative enough. I will also allocate a folder in my gallery just for progress shots. I intend to build up that section in the future for you guys!

This is one of those things that is just impossible not to fav. Absinthe is a theme that was approached many times through different visual medias, but I can honestly say that I can't remember one so true, following so well the meaning, the feel of this liquor, both fascinating and fraid inspiring - temptative, in better words - and yet adding such an unique quality to it. I must say I'm really impressed!
